Live Your Life Words

Want to find out what your life words are?!

My mentor asked me the other day what my life platform was. I love that he asks these kind of questions. I replied, “Well the words that resound over and over with me. The words that give me a jump in my soul when I hear them…Freedom, Expression and Love.” I just really connect with these ideas.

What about you? What words make your soul jump? Security, power, creativity, consistency, organization, open, curious, free spirit, giver, practical, thrifty, builder, fixer, flexible, bold, adventurous?…The list goes on and on! Not sure? Try taking some personality tests to see if you find a common theme. Ask some of those closest to you, what words describe you…and see if it resonates! But here’s the next step, and this is an important one!

It isn’t enough to just know your words.

You need to live out of them.

Now that you know what these resounding ideas are, how can you get more of them? Start asking yourself, “What can I do to create more of these in my life today?”

For instance, say that you love being creative. You used to do it all the time, but now…well life is just so crazy busy. You have no idea what I deal with on a daily basis! There is no room left for me. Ok I get it. But what if you took just 5 mins each day to work on something that makes you feel more connected with your creative side? Just start with 5 mins. And see what happens.

You can’t love who you think you should be. If you are always feeling like you should be something else, then you are’t being yourself! That isn’t freedom, that is a prison of our own making.

In the past I was fighting. But the main thing I was fighting was myself. I was fighting against who I am. I didn’t realize that’s what I was doing. But each day as I moved toward and lived out of priorities that weren’t important to me, I was fighting an internal battle against falling asleep. Life was a daze of repetition. A life coma.

As I started to focus on my words (some of you would call them priorities), instead of some of the other things that are less important to me, it gave me room for change. It also gave me direction for change. I set a course for the things that describe me. And I feel more free than I ever have!

The freedom I am talking about, it is internal freedom. It has nothing to do with a dream job, a dream car or the most money. It is the freedom of knowing who you are and loving who you are.

What is important? What do you value in yourself, and in life? What are your words? Then direct towards them. How can you make more of them in your life, if even just in the smallest of ways. Know who you are, and then, most importantly, live out of it. Without apology! That is freedom.

Want to share what your words are?! I’d love to hear!

  • Thanks a lot for providing individuals with an extraordinarily spectacular chance to read articles and blog posts from this web site. It can be so excellent and as well , full of a great time for me personally and my office colleagues to search your website not less than thrice in 7 days to see the new guides you have got. Of course, we are certainly impressed with all the remarkable tricks you give. Selected 4 ideas in this post are honestly the most efficient I have ever had.

  • Great article. It is quite unfortunate that over the last years, the travel industry has had to take on terrorism, SARS, tsunamis, bird flu, swine flu, and also the first ever entire global economic depression. Through all this the industry has proven to be sturdy, resilient in addition to dynamic, locating new ways to deal with misfortune. There are generally fresh challenges and the opportunity to which the sector must all over again adapt and act in response.
